SPOOKTACULAR

Spooky workshops for the spookiest month! Head down to Me.reka Makerspace @ Publika from the 26th to 28th of October to learn how to spice up your Halloween by making your very own spooky materials!

Workshops include making your very own DIY Halloween Mask, Make-A-Treat Lamp, and 3D Doodle Pumpkin.  On top of that, walk away with free 3D printed treats when you sign up for all activities @ RM80.

Plastic Bottle Terrarium

Terrariums are gaining its popularity by just being an adorable “mini greenhouses”! It required only low maintenance and it is perfect to green up indoor spaces!

To bring terrariums into another level this round, we are greening it up even more by reusing an empty plastic bottle as the container!

Nutty Scientist, Fun Recycling for 5 – 10 years old.

This October, join the Nutty scientist on their quest to investigate rubbish!

  • Learn through play about the vast amount of garbage we generate
  • How garbage  damages the environment
  • The imbalance between the amount of rubbish we generate and the limited capacity of landfills to contain it.
  • Learn how working together we can take better care of the environment and how to separate household waste properly.

Nutty Scientist, Greenhouse Effect

Nutty Scientist, Greenhouse Effect for 8 – 13 years old.

The Nutty Scientists investigate the Whys and Hows of the Greenhouse Effect!

  • Learn through play about what the Greenhouse Effect is.
  • Which gases make up the air that contributes to the Greenhouse Effect.
  • How these gases capture the heat of the sun.
  • Demonstrate the impact of the Greenhouse Effect on the Poles and how to work together to combat global warming.
