Me.reka 101: Virtual Reality
Virtual reality is one of the most highly requested skill sets in the jobs market. Some people believe virtual reality (VR) technology has the potential to change our lives even more than the smartphone has—and that technology is developing rapidly.
Products like the Oculus Rift have the power to immerse users in seamless, real-seeming virtual environments, while Google’s Cardboard platform can turn your smartphone into a VR machine with little more than a few folds of paper.
This introductory session will give you an overview and exposure to the fundamentals of virtual reality.
Participants will be making their very own Google Cardboard and test it out with mobile phone – compatible VR software. By the end of this session, learners would be bringing home their very own Google Cardboard along with the basic knowledge and skills of virtual reality.
