About Job

Me.reka Belia is a 2-year community empowerment programme designed to be implemented at a PPR. The programme aims to nurture and develop youths that are digital literates and empowered to solve their own community challenges. We are looking for a self-motivated superhero with an appetite for taking on real responsibility to manage the project’s performance and track the impact. You will work closely with our programme director, manager of project management, clients, freelancers, partners and relevant stakeholders. You must be inclined and driven with positivity to build meaningful relationships with the programme participants, partners and clients.

Job Description

  • End-to-end project management, from planning and execution of:
  • 2 digital literacy courses for 200+ youths at 2 PPR locations,
  • an Entrepreneurship Accelerator at a PPR
  • a Youth Civic Development Accelerator at a PPR
  • an onground research study involving baseline studies and focus group sessions at a PPR
  • development of a MOOC based on Youth Civic Development Accelerator

  • Working with project team, recruit PPR youths and maintain their engagement and participation in various programs: Digital Literacy classes,  Entrepreneurship Accelerator and a Youth Civic Development Accelerator, taking proactive and preventive actions to reduce dropout rates
  • Working with project team, recruit and train 80 PPR youths on Entrepreneurship, and develop 10 business enterprises led by the PPR youths, leading to income generation
  • Working with project team, recruit and train 80 PPR youths on Youth Civic Development, and develop 10 volunteer projects led by the PPR youths, leading to sustainable volunteerism
  • Working with project team, develop, lead and mentor PPR youth leaders into social entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, civic advocates, digital literacy trainers
  • Working with project team, develop and oversee implementation of communication strategy for recruitment, project visibility within PPR, event marketing, research participation, etc
  • Monitor and evaluate project impacts, prepare project reports, and liaise with the client
  • Working with project team, oversee instructional design and training delivery for digital literacy courses, and Accelerator modules;
  • Responsible for meeting all stated project deliverables following Biji-biji/Me.reka Project Management SOPs


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master in public policy, education, marketing, communications, project management, administration, management, business, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of project management and/or related experience. Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle with proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English and Malay
  • Ability to connect and build meaningful relationships with PPR youths
  • Strong familiarity with project management, digital tools, methodologies, and best practices
