The students of Sri Dasmesh were engaged to learn about sustainable home living and the programming of microbits to self-monitor growing plants, through hands-on woodworking activities and electronic skills. Educating the importance of good maintenance in living will lead to less wastage; participants of the programme have learned to be more resourceful, creative, and adaptable to sustainable concepts. The youths were introduced to the application of the Internet of Things (IoT), technical drawing, reverse engineering, and prototyping to build a vocation in sustainable careers. This programme was initiated to impart basic knowledge on woodworking including the ability to measure, cut, and create pieces of structures with wood while ensuring that students at all times practice proper safety techniques. Also, the programme was aimed to instill the love of coding using Micro: Bits, understanding the importance of step-by-step coding, and creating their own mini-projects throughout the semester. To conclude, the youth ushered their application of the Micro: Bit towards their plant structures.
