In a bustling city like Ipoh, Perak, a 28-year-old woman embarked on a transformative journey that not only shifted her career trajectory but also reignited her passion for creativity. Meet Kanimozhi A/P Kamala Nathan, a former technical executive who embarked on a transformative journey to become a freelance designer. Her story is not just about changing jobs but about rediscovering passion, pursuing dreams, and embracing new opportunities.

Reflecting on her previous occupation, Kanimozhi admits to feeling a sense of emptiness and a lack of motivation despite the alignment with her educational qualifications. "I was working like a robot without regard for time zones, leaving my passion behind," she confesses. This realization prompted her to seek change and reignite her dormant creativity.

Kanimozhi’s quest for change led her to discover the Digital Entrepreneur Pathway program by MEREKA. Drawn to its focus on creative fields like writing, designing, and marketing, she saw it as the perfect opportunity to hone her skills and pursue her passion. The program's virtual training sessions led by industry experts and hands-on experiences with SMEs resonated deeply with Kanimozhi, providing her with the guidance and practical knowledge she needed to transition successfully.

Unlike other training programs, Kanimozhi found the Digital Entrepreneur Pathway program unique in its comprehensive approach. "The detailed training conducted by industry experts provided me with valuable insights and helped shape a clear path towards my ambition," she explains. From managing finances to securing clients, each course equipped her with the necessary skills to thrive in her newfound career.

Since transitioning to freelance designing, Kanimozhi’s life and work have undergone a significant transformation. "I've gained confidence and improved my skill sets, making it easier to secure clients," she shares. Even in her full-time job, Kanimozhi feels more prepared and confident, leveraging her newfound knowledge to assist the business development team and secure projects.

Looking ahead, Kanimozhi envisions herself as a professional in her current field, leading her own team and playing a pivotal role in securing projects for her company. "In 3 to 5 years, I want to be a key player in both technology and business development," she declares with determination.

Kanimozhi’s journey from a technical executive to a freelance designer is a story of self-discovery, resilience, and seizing opportunities. It's a reminder that with passion, perseverance, and the right support, anyone can rewrite their career story and pursue their dreams.
